DOUGLAS WATSON Doug Watson, beloved husband of Sharon, of Winnipeg, MB, passed away at the Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg, MB, on Monday, March 5, 2013, at the age of 73 years. Doug leaves to mourn his passing his wife Sharon (nee Hooey), of Winnipeg, MB, sons Jamie (Jennifer) of Victoria, BC, Chris of Winnipeg, MB, Tom (Julia) of Treherne, MB, and Shane of Beijing, China, grandchildren Douglas, Andrew, Kyle, Samantha, Christopher, Dylan and Makyla. Also left to mourn Doug's passing are his mother Alice (nee Henry) of Treherne, MB, brothers Mel (Margaret), and Bryan (Doreen), as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws and many friends. Doug was predeceased by his father Martin, brothers Clayton and Ricky, and sister Gailya in infancy. A Celebration of Doug's life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Treherne United Church, with Sandra Rex officiating. Interment will take place in Bethel Cemetery at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Doug's memory to the Bethel Cemetery, c/o Coral Jones, Treherne, MB R0G 2V0. Although we have not known Doug all that long, we most certainly enjoyed the times we spent with him. Whether it was quadding, having a cool one in the sun room, or just chatting around the kitchen table, Doug was a very knowledgeable and enjoyable individual.
