ELIZABETH MARGARET WEBSTER April 4, 1943 - March 3, 2013 Elizabeth passed away suddenly early Sunday morning, March 3, 2013. She was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Rita Webster. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Maris, their three children Bruce (Jody), Blair and Heather, and nine grandchildren. Elizabeth was born in Hearst, ON, and spent her early years in the Canadian arctic, where her father was a Post Manager with the Hudson Bay Company, before moving to Winnipeg in 1955, to complete her schooling. Upon graduation from Churchill High School in Winnipeg she joined Manitoba Telecom Services and was with that organization until the onset of Parkinson Disease forced her into early retirement. She was a long time Winnipeg Blue Bomber fan, being a season ticket holder since the early 1960s and attending games until she could no longer do so. Gordon and Maris want to thank all of the staff on Rose Walk at Misericordia Place who provided compassionate, tender and loving care to Elizabeth during the last six years of her life as she struggled with her disease. In accordance with Elizabeth's wishes there will be no service. Cremation has taken place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home where she will be laid to rest alongside her parents.
