CATHERINE VERRAN -
Date of Passing: Mar 05, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCATHERINE VERRAN 1918 - 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, nana, great-nana and great-great-nana, on March 5, 2013 at Oakview Place. Mom was predeceased by her husband Frank, sister Mary and brother Peter. She is lovingly remembered by her sons Gilbert, Alan Webster (Lois), grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom lived her entire life in Winnipeg, calling Weston home for a great number of those years. She loved her country music and was fiercely independent and hard working. Her later working years were at Eaton's Groceteria (Meats). Family and friends have great memories of the many Boxing Day gatherings at Mom's. She derived great pleasure caring for her family. The family would like to thank the staff of Oakview Place for their care and compassion during Mom's later years. Keeping with Mom's wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a private family service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. I remember her visits to the cottage for Thansgiving & her great butter tarts & sausage rolls. Everyone would be standing in line to get them. Also had to save certain parts of the tue,eh for her. Lots kf fond memories. - Posted by: Sheena Fletcher Gibson () on: Mar 09, 2013
