Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDENISE VOURIOT (nee MARCOUX) It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Denise on March 7, 2013, at the St. Boniface Hospital, on the 15th anniversary of our father's death. She leaves to cherish her memory, her six children: Lucille, Therese (Gordie), Rose (Don), Gilles, Aline (Clovis), Marcel and daughter-in-law Diane, as well as 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Mom also leaves her siblings: Anita (Jack), Maryse (John), Albini (Shirley), Georgette (Smokey), Lorraine (Bob), Gus (Shirley), Diane (Adelard), Gert (Roger), and brothers-and sisters-in-law along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mom is the newest link in the family chain slowing building up in Heaven. She was predeceased by baby Aline (April 14, 1957), Dad (March 7, 1998), sons Denis (March 31, 2005) and Roland (October 11, 2012) and son-in-law Emile (December 7, 2009). She was also predeceased by her parents: Georges and Annie and her siblings: Leona, Adolphe and Priscilla. Mom was born on September 30, 1929 in La Broquerie, MB. A few months later the family moved to Lorette, MB where she lived until she married Dad in 1949, and moved to his farm in La Salle, MB. Over the years, she enjoyed quilting, gardening, travelling, crafts, bingo and socializing. After they retired, they moved to the town of La Salle and enjoyed woodworking and more travelling. Following a leg amputation, she eventually moved to Le Manoir de la Cathedrale in St. Boniface, MB in 2008. There she spent the rest of her life and made new friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 14, 2013 in St. Hyacinth Church in La Salle at 2:00 p.m. with viewing at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of 7AW ward at the St. Boniface Hospital and family and friends for the many prayers, visits and phone calls. Pallbearers will be six grandchildren. I am Mimi's oldest daughter, and second cousin to your mom. Her siblings will all know who I am. Just a note to say that my deepest sympathies go to you and all the family. Rest assured that there is enough of them in heaven to get a good card party going. I know how it hurts to lose a mom. It has been 10 years since ours left us, and it is still very fresh in our heart. Rest assured that you will all meet again one day.
