JOHN MARKO February 20, 1907 - March 11, 2013 Peacefully and with deep sadness, we announce the passing of John Marko at the age of 106 years at the East Gate Lodge Personal Care Home in Beausejour, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his parents Alexander Marko and Ksenia Matychak; brothers, Theodor, Michael, Steve and Nicholas; sisters Mary (Mike) Ilchyna, Anne (Merle) Sayre; brother-in-law, John Shuel. He is survived by his sisters Katherine (Ken) Clark, and Sophie Shuel, and numerous great-nieces and nephews. John was a farmer, mechanic, carpenter and jack of all trades and master of them all. He loved playing cards. A special thank you to the great care given by Dr. Van Rensberg and the loving, dedicated staff of East Gate Lodge, Beausejour, MB. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 at Navin Road, Winnipeg, MB. Interment will take place at Eastdale Roman and Greek Catholic Cemetery, Eastdale, MB with reception to follow at Over 50 Club, Anola, MB.
