• As a granddaughter to William I could share hundreds of fond memories. My grandfather was the one who taught me how to do cartwheels. In front of the house on the grass. He did amazing cartwheels. Taught me to ride a bike and taught me how to swim. My grandparents took my sister and I to Disneyland enduring 2 weeks alone with a hyperactive granddaughter. My grandfather patiently taught me to blow big bubbles with chewing gum. We would go to the train tracks waiting to flatten pennies from a train. When I had my first daughter made a special trip to the drugstore and bought every breast cream on the shelf because I was determined to breast feed his great-granddaughter. I was always home with them because as a child it was my only place I felt good. Mash and Barney Miller nights was to me family night. I never grew tired of his war stories I admired who he was. I lost the last few years to be with him and never had the chance to tell him "I love you and thank you" I believe he knows now spiritually and I can talk to him anytime.
