I have many fond memories of being a child and heading out with the family to Inwood for a visit to see Caroline as well as my grandparents, Ben and Marion Laporte. It was always a great adventure and my brother and I loved exploring and spending time with Caroline. Caroline always had great stories, had a great sense of humour, and I was always impressed with how many amazing homemaking skills she had - she tended a big garden all by herself, made her own clothing, etc... She made my dolls many outfits and helped my grandfather by making curtains, bedding etc for the dollhouse he build me, which I still have! Rest in peace Caroline. I was so sad when Caroline had to move to Wpg, but happy that she would get the care she needed. Caroline was always a bright spot in my day, when she would come to my work. Caroline was a very loving and lonely lady, who had a heart of gold. She will always be remembered. - Posted by: Barbara Strick (business & friend) on: Mar 16, 2013
