Joe's smiling face and warm greeting always made me happy to come to work. We found after some time that we had a family connection by marriage so that made our friendship even more special. I'm very glad that I had the chance to know him. Warm thoughts go out to his family. - Posted by: Barbara Switzer (City Hall) on: Apr 21, 2013

We remember fondly Joe's warm greeting to anyone who entered the front doors of City Hall. His many years of service as the Council Sargent at Arms and security detail will be missed by Councillors, assistants, and staff. It was easier to do our job because he was on duty. Joe was truly a man for others. RIP my Friend. - Posted by: Councillor Grant Nordman (work associate) on: Mar 20, 2013

We wish we could be there with you today to celebrate Joe's life. We will always remember Joe as not only a neighbour but as a friend. He always greeted us with a friendly smile and took the time to catch up with us whenever he could. He welcomed us into his home, shared stories and memories. He will always be remembered as a man who was full of life, full of smiles and always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be missed greatly and remembered fondly. - Posted by: Sharleen Jacques & Craig Montemurro (Friends & neighbours) on: Mar 20, 2013

I am so sorry to hear about Joe's passing. I will always remember his infectious smile and the love he had for his family. I will miss seeing him cruising around Winnipeg in his red sports car. He's probably driving one right now in heaven. - Posted by: Diane Brine (Friend) on: Mar 18, 2013

Joe was a very good friend who helped out with the Shaftesbury band programs on numerous occasions. He was always very positive, upbeat and had a smile on his face. We will miss him. - Posted by: flavio and louise cianflone (friend) on: Mar 18, 2013
