MARTIN (MARTY) MUZYKA July 4, 1974 - March 15, 2013 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our son, brother, nephew, friend, uncle, grandson, our everything. Martin was the very essence of courage, strength and hope in a challenging time in his life. His drive and determination inspired many to smile regardless of the challenges they may face in their lives. Martin was always a force to be reckoned with. We extend our deepest appreciation to Dr. Patricia Harris (Oncology Clinic, Concordia Hospital) and Martin's second mothers - Valerie, Pauline, and Nancy. He loved you all like family. Our sincere thanks to Ron Smith for his understanding, respect, and support for Martin. You have our thanks and appreciation always. Martin's passion for big rigs was endless. He enjoyed driving down the highway with many stories to be told with endless entertaining jokes to warm the heart. Martin also greatly enjoyed spending nights out with uncles Jim and Wes. Martin, our gentle giant, has left to mourn his parents, Marvin and Winnie, sisters Jamie and Wendy (Ron), his little buddy Liam, nieces Jessica, Jenna, Jordyn, his beautiful cousin Brianna, and many uncles and aunts. To Martin's best friends Tyler and Glen, thank you for being a major support to Martin when he needed you the most. A special thanks is extended to Auntie Gloria, Carolin (sweet Caroline), Alec and Tracy. Martin's great love of Grandad and Grandma Phillips will always be cherished. At Martin's request, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. Donations can be made in Martin's name to Cancer Care Manitoba. "Life is a highway" Forever in our in hearts, we love you always Martin. 204-586-8044

My deepest sympathies to the Muzyka family, I know that the void left by the loss of someone so dear never fades. My thoughts are with you all. I think of Martin often, and always with tremendous fondness. There simply are no words... - Posted by: Nancy (Thiessen) Copp (friend) on: Jul 05, 2013

Martin, its been over three months since you've been taken away and the memories of the day you left still haunt me. you were the one person who never failed to brighten up my day from your goofy texts to seeing your smiling face. I know you never wanted me to see how bad things were but, regardless of how bad they were that never changed my outlook on just how wonderful you are. you've made me a stronger person because, of you I am able to get through a lot more because, I know you're watching over me. No one knew just how close we were and how much you meant to me. throughout everything you never failed to stand by my side. I miss you more and more everyday. I love you so much. With so much love Jessica. - Posted by: jessica (niece) on: Jul 04, 2013

I miss you tremendously Martin. Life isn't the same without you and life isn't fair. When life threw you a curve ball you looked it straight in the eye. You are the most strongest, the most courageous, the most gentle person I will ever know. We leaned on each other and learnt from each other in our individual times of need, with our medical isssues we were always there for one another. We knew what each other went through and supported each other in ways many wouldn't understand. All it took was a simple look to one another to know what we were each thinking and what we knew. You have made me a better person, you made me realize I deserve only the best and to never let another bring me down. From learning from you I know I too can continue to look my MS face on and never let it get the best of me. There will never be another you, I will never forget you and I know in my heart I will see you again. Another day gone is another day closer to you. With all my love. Your infectious laughter and positive attitude will forever be in our hearts. Working with you at Rocky made the days fly by, always making sure your truck was greased, spotless and smelling of your pine tree scent. I am so glad we stayed friends through the years sharing lots of laughter and many jokes. You are such a kind hearted gentle person who made everyone's day better. You are going to be missed by everyone who knew you, thank you for being my friend. We will always remember your great personalty. All the best to your family for the loss of a beautiful person. To Martin's family I am truly sorry for your loss. Martin was the best neighbor anyone could ever have. I will always remember the fun memories of him and I talking over the fence. If I was having a bad day and I saw Martin's big smiling face my bad day went away. - Posted by: Heather Hill (Friend) on: Mar 24, 2013
