CHRISTINE (CHRIS) BILUK
Date of Passing: Mar 23, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTINE (CHRIS) BILUK With extremely heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Christine (Chris) Biluk on Saturday morning, March 23, 2013 after a short battle with cancer. Left to remember her, are her daughter Michelle, her adored son-in-law Jason and her dream granddaughter Marissa, sister Rose (Glen), her best friend Helen, and long time friends Lawry and Gloria. Chris was predeceased by her husband Ken (2003), parents Theodore and Anne, in-laws Michael and Nettie, and brothers Ron and Clarence. Chris was born in Shoal Lake, MB, and grew up in Winnipeg. Chris and Ken had made a life in Teulon, MB where they owned and operated their grocery store for over 11 years. There they met and treasured many people they got to know over those years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her new granddaughter, who she adored beyond words. Chris enjoyed baking, cooking, and helping in any way possible for her family. She even adored looking after Reba, Pebbles, and Jester where she was known for making their special dog cookies. Spending time with Helen, who she knew for many years, was an enjoyed treasure. Being informed you have cancer, are words of disbelief. However, she continued her life with great dignity and she kept her family strong. It is the family's wish to hold a private family service that will be held at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon, Manitoba on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Special thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Centre, especially to nurse Carol who was there for Michelle and Jason during this devastating time. Flowers are gratefully declined, however, if friends desire, donations can be made to a trust fund set up for her granddaughter (Marissa) at Sunova Credit Union or Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4. Michelle, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I went to visit her at home and was surprised she wasn't there anymore. I live in Winnipeg and didn't know your Mom had passed away. My late husband Ed & I knew Chris very well. We worked at Canada Packers together. After work your Dad, Ken, would pick her up. Us young chicks had alot to talk about on our breaks and enjoyed every minute of it. I pray that the memories of your Dad & Mom bring you peace and strength. - Posted by: Nedell Michaluk (Friend) on: Jun 12, 2013

The burden of sorrow that is felt for you today cannot be expessed in words... ...nor can the grief you are experiencing be taken away; but may the many expressions of sympathy touch your grieving heart and lighten your sorrow. With deepest Sympathy - Posted by: Lorraine Dnistransky (Chris's cousins daughter) on: Mar 26, 2013

I have never before - nor will again, work for such a wonderful couple that was Ken & Chris! The laughter was constant. I will miss Chris' dry sense of humor always. Michelle & Family - Words fall short of expressing my sorrow for your Loss. - Posted by: Cindy Ferreira (Former Employee at Black Forest Meats) on: Mar 26, 2013
