Mom was married on July 3, 1944 in the Belgium Sacred Heart Church in St. Boniface. Mom loved music, she enjoyed playing and teaching the organ and the piano as well as playing the mouth organ. Mom enjoyed doing charcoal sketching and gardening and mowing her lawn which she did into her mid 80s. Her prize possession was her "car" which she drove until past the age of 87 and made daily trips to the St. Vital mall where she would continuously walk the store for hours and then return home just in time to watch her Dr. Phil. This daily activity kept her very strong and in good health. She was the most caring and loving mother. Pallbearers are sons - Marcel, Barney, Jerry, Claude, grandsons Alain, Serge and Jean-Paul. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at St. Emile Parish, 556 St. Anne's Road, at 10:00 a.m with viewing from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. Our family would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff at Actionmarguerite for their extreme kindness, compassion and superior care. Irene and I were friends on the phone even before we met. While Claude and our son Marc were away on a trip right after leaving High School, Irene and I would call each other whenever we heard from one of the boys. We finally met in person and remained friends for all these years. I always knew her as a gentle woman with a very caring heart and a very patient person. I know, because she tried to teach me to play the organ, but I'm the one who failed, not her. I'll always miss her. Lorraine - Posted by: Lorraine & Leo St. Pierre (Friend) on: Mar 27, 2013
