SYLVIA MAY WULLUM (nee LYTWYN) September 11, 1938 March 22, 2013 Peacefully, after a short illness, Sylvia passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 at the age of 74. Sylvia is survived by her son Curtis (Jeannie) of Creston, BC, son Chris of Winnipeg, grandson Logan of BC, sisters and brothers-in-law, and numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Carl in 2002, her brother Richard in 2008, her father Stephen in 1992, and her mother Gertrude in 1966. Sylvia was born in Winnipegosis, MB and grew up in the region living in or near towns such as Meadow Portage, Toutes Aides, and Rorketon, MB. She graduated from Rorketon High School and eventually moved to Winnipeg where she attended United College. In Winnipeg, she met her husband of 41 years, Carl. Together, at their home in St. James, they raised two sons of which she was very proud. Sylvia spent many years working for the City of Winnipeg operating various concessions at local hockey arenas. This coincided with Carl's passion for volunteering with minor hockey which had them both attending events at the many arenas in St. James. As well, Sylvia spent time in the summers working at the Assiniboine Park Zoo which coupled with her love of animals. In her later years, Sylvia enjoyed the quiet of retirement spending her time reading, watching television and movies, following her grandson's hockey exploits, and having the company of her cat Rosie. Sylvia was a quiet but incredibly kind and generous person and will be missed by those who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a private attendance for immediate family will follow at a future date.
