WILMA DORIS MURRAY (nee ANDERSON) 1921 - 2013 Peacefully with her family by her side, Mom passed away at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 91 years. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Wendy (Frank) Jansen, Pat (Rudy) Muns, daughter-in-law Valerie Murray, grandchildren Gail, Brian, Carolyn, Craig, Lindsay, Andrea, Randy, Paul, her great-grandchildren Genevieve, Evan, Will, Edie, Sam and Ava, extended family and friends including Grace, Ina, Donny, Helen and Lynne. She was predeceased by her husband Charles in 2002 and her son John in 2008. Wilma was born in Bangor Saskatchewan to Otto and Signe Anderson. She joined the Air Force where she met her future husband and they were married in 1944. Mom was an active member of Fort Garry Legion #90 for many years. Mom was a very kind, caring and generous person who always put others before herself. Many happy times were spent with family and friends playing cards and at the cottage at Victoria Beach. She was the heart of the family and a positive role model. The bonds she formed with all of her family will live on as her legacy. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. The family wish to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Lindenwood Terrace and the Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion.
