She has maintained strong and lasting friendships with many along the way. Kathy's work history was H.S. Billings High School, Consolidated Paper, Rolls Royce, and Bristol Aerospace. When you are young, you stick with the boys if you are a boy. A group of us including Kathy's brother formed a AMT model car building club in the Ritch's basement and it was a hobby throughout our teens. I often ran into the girls while I turned up there and lived two houses down the street at a time when there were only 5 houses on the street. In fact as a youngster I also worked carrying rocks to build that street. Most of the houses have gone now but I think the Ritch house (No. 9) is still there. While we all like Ellie, the last I saw him was as a orderly at the Royal Victoria Hospital. By then the family had moved to St. Laurent east of O'Brien Blvd and by then I had moved to Calgary and Saskatoon for few years. I belonged to the Kin in both those cities and later in Markham when I moved here to the Toronto area 45 years ago after returning to Montreal first. I also became an employee of the Association for a couple of years and freelanced the KIN magazine, editing it for 3 years in the mid-1970s. At the club level, I became the Zone Deputy Governor and moved up to become District Governor of District 8 with 72 Kin clubs and almost as many Kinette Clubs, before retiring from Kin around the mandatory age 40 at the time. I only wish I had know Kathy was in Kin while she was alive, I am sure we could have exchanged a lot of great stories of our youth in Saraguay & Kin. - Posted by: Bob Carswell (childhood neighbour) on: Jan 21, 2020

Auntie Kathy, you will be deeply missed...God lent you to us to brighten our lives and make us laugh. He has now taken you back, because he needed another perfect angel. This is not goodbye, because I know that we will all be together again someday. You have now joined Nanny, Grandpa, Uncle Elly, and all of our lossed loved ones. I know that everytime I look up at the bright sky, you will be looking down on us and smiling. You will forever be in our hearts. Love always and forever, Melanie, Steven, Nick and Justin. xxoo - Posted by: Melanie Albert (niece) on: Apr 02, 2013
