  • More than forty years ago I met Shirley when she and her family moved in across the street from me. She became a very good friend over the years--loved life and family and traveling. I have so many fond memories of her life in Moncton. • So sorry to hear of Tessie's passing. I will always remember the weekend trips we all took to the Tattoo in Halifax and all the fun we had, even just having coffee. She was such a positive person. It was a privilege to know her. I will remember her always. - Posted by: June Perry (Friend) on: Apr 03, 2013

  • Tessie was my best friend for 41 years. Mel had the opportunity to meet Tessie and her family in October. A memory to be cherished forever. Good bye my dear friend; gone but never will be forgotten. I will cherish our good times forever. Love your friend Kathy (and Mel too). - Posted by: Kathy Kirkwood and Mel Coffill (Best Friend) on: Apr 02, 2013

  • I will so miss Aunt Shirley--her phone calls and visits together. I loved her zest for learning, travel, fun and hospitality, and her love of family. She was such a fun person to be around. It hurts to think she's gone. - Posted by: Judy Dickinson (niece) on: Apr 02, 2013

  • Some of my fondest memories were when I stayed with Shirley and her father. Never will forget when Walter told Shirley that I scratched her favorite teflon fry-pan. That wasn't exactly true. You see, Walter didn't want to face Shirley knowing that he was the guilty party. How we laugh over this later. Such a wonderful lady, such a privilege to know. My sincere condolences to the family. Remember this, Shirley once stated that, "life was far too short and too precious for tears". So we move forward carrying those wonderful memories with us until we meet again. Sorry I can't be there with you at this difficult time but I will take a java to the mountain and enjoy the view for Shirley during the service. • I was saddened to hear of Shirley's passing. She was quite the lady, with a real spirit for the good ol' Rock n' Roll. She became part of a club that I was part of because of her love of 50/60's music. Keep that music playing in Heaven Shirley, as you are now another beautiful angel watching over us all. Will always have many fond memories of our times spent together. - Posted by: Janice (Friend) on: Apr 01, 2013
