Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAMONA GRACE MAIN (nee MCCOY) It is with great sadness that the family of Ramona Grace Main announces her death on Thursday, April 5, 2013 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was born December 17, 1915 to Lizzie (Mullen) and John McCoy at Sinclair, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her husband Nelson Main in 1993, by her parents, sisters: Lena, Catherine, Mavis, Wilma, brothers: Wes, Jim, Bill, Jack, and grandson Guy. Mona is survived by her children: Don (Lorna) of Winnipeg, Fred of Winnipeg, Glenn (Marna) of West Kelowna, BC and Susan (Henry) Vandelaar of Mapleridge, BC, her grandchildren: Murray, Jennifer, Chris, Alicia, Michael and Matthew; her great-grandchildren: Reece, Jordan, Tailer, Shay Lynne, Braxton; her sister Ruth (Roy) Tapp of Salmon Arm, BC, and sisters-in-law: Helen Jackson, Jessie Crawford and Margret Pitt. Mona received her Registered Nurse Degree (1942) in Brandon. She was married (1942) in Moline, moving to Souris and working at Souris Hospital, moving to Winnipeg in 1964 retiring from Health Sciences Centre in 1977. She spent her retirement volunteering at Health Sciences Centre Pre-op Support Ophthalmology and visiting with friends in Souris and Clear Lake, vacations to Texas, Arizona, West Coast and Europe. Mona's family wish to thank Dr. E. Doermer and staff of Concordia Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A private celebration to remember Mona will be held by the family in the summer.
