Mom lived to be 100 and passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, April 3, 2013. She was predeceased by husband David in 1989, and is survived by daughters: Gale (Greg), Kathy (Helmut); grandchildren Christine (Dan), David, Amanda (Marshall), Danny; and many beloved nieces and nephews. To celebrate Margaret's life, a memorial service will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 805-9715

Gale, my heart goes out to you all especially at this time. People at Villa Cabrini all remember her as a feisty well spoken lady with the demeanor of the lady of the manor. I always enjoyed her company and missed her dearly when she left the Villa in Winnipeg. She had a total honesty about her that marvelled me. Grieve yes, but live with the memories of her. "Mrs. Harris" was one of the kindest individuals I ever met. I am so sad to hear this news. She always put her family first and was there to assist my grandparents who lived across the street on Waverley. It was always a treat to visit the Harris houselhold - especially during those "River Heights party" years where Margaret and Dave were so accommodating! My condolences to Kathy, Gale and family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Mrs. Harris was an amazing woman! We enjoyed getting to know her over the years. It was very special to have her attend Amanda's wedding and to be able to celebrate her 100th birthday in style with her birthday tea in Kelowna.
