Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET E. BROWN 1915 - 2013 Margaret Brown passed away peacefully on March 30, 2013, at the River East Personal Care Home at the age of 97. She was predeceased by her husband Francis Albert Brown in 1996. Margaret was the eldest of five Wortley girls {Ada, Muriel, Lillian and Eileen} and the longest surviving sister. Margaret is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was a 47 year Cancer survivor. She had a very positive and friendly nature making friends very easy. During her working career she held many administrative positions including time with Westeel Rosco and the Motor Vehicle Branch. Margaret took great pride in the fact she exercised on a regular basis and was continually going for walks all her life. Margaret had many interests with her favorites being crafting, needle point, knitting and gardening. Margaret and Frank shared many adventures together especially their love of trailering. They were very proud of their Shasta and Airstream trailers. They travelled all over North America and especially enjoyed the Airstream Caravans. For 22 years they spent the summers at their retirement home in Lee River where they enjoyed mother nature and fishing and the winters with their trailer at Alamo, Texas in the Alamo Palms Trailer Park with their friends. Since Franks passing Margaret remained active with all her interests, family and travel. A memorial Service will be held for Margaret at 10:00 a.m. on Monday April 8, 2013, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Family members would like to express their sincerest appreciation to all the staff at the River East Personal Care Home for their compassionate and attentive care during her final years.
