CAROL LYNNE WILKINS (nee CUNNINGHAM) 1940 - 2013 On Friday, April 5, 2013, cancer finally won. I passed away peacefully at home, in the company of my family. I consider myself lucky to have been born to Aubrey and Dorothy Cunningham as my parents, and later with Doreen as my sister. It was great to grow up in Miniota, MB, among relatives and friends. After the family moved to Winnipeg in 1952, I continued to be fortunate to gather many good friends. My luck continued when my brother Ross was born and later when Harry Dow joined the family as Doreen's husband. It has been such a pleasure being an aunt to a niece and nephews that I have been proud to introduce as my own. I have lived a full life through my teaching career and the ability to travel extensively. I go with great memories of wonderful experiences and special relationships. I have no regrets. I give particular thanks for Dr. S. Banerji, Dr. Latocki, and the medical staff. And especially the dear relatives and friends that have shared this final part of my journey. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11 at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. • Oh Lynne, life has changed for many of us without you in it. Every time I step out my door I shall look for you or your lights for awhile. Come spring (if it ever does!) every time I ride my bike without you I shall think of you....and the warm smile we had recently when you said that you will still be there riding along! ;o) Your garden will never be tended the same. Shall miss our eve's of tea and neighbourhood game nites. Mostly I will miss a neighbour who was truly as neighbour's should be....doing for each other often and always in times of need. And your giggle...yes, shall miss your giggle!! And of course we knew you would write your own obit.....and that would ensure there would be no grammatical errors!! ;o) RIP dear Lynne....will meet again one day!
