ANNE (WEATHERBURN) ZASITKO (nee LYONS) Peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2013, Anne Zasitko passed away at the age of 91 at the Eriksdale Personal Care Home. She was predeceased by husbands Jim Weatherburn (1953) and Bill Zasitko (1988), son-in-law Neil Wiebe (1989) and grandson Richard Wiebe (1989). She is lovingly remembered by her children; Larry (Marlene) Weatherburn, Sharon Weatherburn, Janis (Hal) Sigurdson, Kim Wiebe, Tom (Wanda) Zasitko; grandchildren, Ron (Leigh), Jamie (Toni), Mark (Sonny) Weatherburn, James, Darryl (Christie) Riddoch; Darren (Michelle), Bryan (Becky) Sigurdson; Michael Wiebe, Candice (Darryl) Stodgell, Sheena (Daniel), Courtney (Chris) Zasitko; 11 great-grandchildren; sister Joyce (Adam) Kolach and their daughters Brenda (Nick), Tannis (Pete), Lisa (Todd); sisters-in-law May Lee, Elsie Malcolm; brother-in-law Pete (Elsie) Zasitko and their families. A celebration honouring the life of Anne will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the Eriksdale Recreation Centre, Eriksdale, MB, with Melanie Kauppila officiating. Service will conclude at the hall with a lunch to follow. All Anne's grandchildren can consider themselves Honourary Pallbearers that day. The family would like to thank the caring, kind and compassionate workers at the Eriksdale Personal Care Home for taking such wonderful care of our mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the E. M.   • To Anne's Family: I remember well when Anne came to Canada as the lovely Scottish war bride of my idol, Jim Weatherburn. We have many fond memories of our friendship with Anne, as well as sad ones. Most admired was her courage and resilience following the tragic loss of her husband Jim in 1953, as she continued forward raising a fine family and marrying Bill with whom she spent many happy years.
