Condolences & Memories (17 entries)

  • Diana was a very dear friend that shared her joy and amazing optimism in everything she did. We shared many joyful times at the curling rink which is where we became fast friends forever, many years ago. Her home was always welcoming, her enthusiasm was ever tireless, and her laughter was infectious. Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories. We will cherish her memory forever. - Posted by: Sandie and Ray Paluc (Friend) on: Apr 22, 2013

  • My sincere sympathy to Diana's family. I have known Diana for many years at Larters. She gave endless hours of her time for the many Ladies events. She had such a good attitude about the game, and persisted even when times were tough for her. Her courage was an inspiration. I was sorry not to be able to attend the funeral, but was away at that time. Cherish the many good memories. - Posted by: Shirley Moster (Golf at Larters) on: Apr 21, 2013

  • I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to Diana's family. Throughout her illness she sustained her good humour and diligence to our Ladies Golf club. She will be remembered dearly. - Posted by: Rina La Claire (Golf buddy) on: Apr 15, 2013

  • Diana will be missed by her many golfing friends at Larters. She warmly welcomed me to the ladies section last year. Despite a summer of medical treatment, Diana was out there every week, to gather in the scores, and supervise our competitions. We are thinking of her family at this sad time. - Posted by: Catherine Lee (friend) on: Apr 15, 2013

  • My brothers Billy and Larry couldn't have said it better, as their sentiments are shared by my family and I as well. We were fortunate to have had Auntie Diana in our lives, and without question, she made a positive impact that will not be forgotten. I am sure we all wish we were able to spend more time with her, experience more of those "Boxing Days" and large family meals, but the time we did spend with Auntie Diana left an impression that has me smiling when I remember it. My thoughts are with the Stark family, her sisters and my father, her brother that truly thought the world of her. Anyone that spent any time with her is better for it, and while she will be missed, she will live on in our memories and through the smiles on our faces that they bring. You were loved while you were with us...and that love will continue. You will always be missed. - Posted by: Ajay Schoen (Nephew) on: Apr 12, 2013

  • We wish to extend our deepest sympathies Uncle Hubert, to you and your family. My memories of Auntie Diana are fond and will forever be held dear to my heart. She will always be remembered for her quick-wit and humour; her confidence, integrity, caring nature and infectious smile. Auntie Diana loved her golf but more importantly, being surrounded by her family. As a parent she is an inspiration; as a person she raised the bar. I feel blessed to have been her nephew and she will be missed dearly. - Posted by: Billy Schoen (Nephew) on: Apr 12, 2013

  • HUBERT AND FAMILY, SO SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR GREAT LOSS-WIFE AND MOTHER/GRANDMOTHER - Posted by: HENRY & TINA FROESE (USED TO BE NEIBOURS ON WALLACE AVE.) on: Apr 12, 2013

  • There is nothing I can write that can fully express what a great person my Auntie Diana truly IS. I refrain from using the the word "was" as she is someone that will never be forgotten, her smile and unforgettable laugh will be in my mind and heart always. The last conversation we had was just another example of how kind hearted you truly are as you were always wanting to help others and and are one of the most unselfish people I have ever met. Although I am half way around the world and didn't get to visit as much as I wish I could have, the Boxing Day dinners we spent together were always a highlight of the year! You will be greatly missed, but NEVER forgotten, what you have done for others and the way you have touched our hearts will remain always. Forever loved & remembered - Posted by: Larry Schoen (Nephew) on: Apr 12, 2013
