HENRY REMPEL With family close at hand, Henry Rempel passed peacefully after a brief illness at Concordia Hospital on April 12, 2013. He leaves behind his loving family: Heinrich (Marianne), Gisela (Roland), Peter (Margaret Anne), Rudy (Cheryl), and grandchildren Andreas (Jessica), Mackenzie, Melinda and Freeman. Henry was born May 18, 1925 in Einlage, Ukraine. His wife Maria predeceased him in 2011. Henry was not only defined by his faith in God. He was multilingual, well read, accomplished in several trades and a wise and trusted friend, colleague and patriarch. His sense of humour endeared him to all and eased many difficult times. He treasured his wife and family, with whom he shared many adventures. He was a devoted and active member of the Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church where he served in many capacities. The family would like to acknowledge the friendship and support of the residents of Kingsford Haus. Thanks to Doctors Darcy Johnson and Ray Singer, the staff at Concordia Hospital and especially Loida. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 17 at 10:30 a.m., at the Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church, 926 Garfield Street. Interment to follow in the Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church Cemetery in Springstein, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations in Henry's memory can be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or a charity of your choice.

Henry was predeceased by his wife Maria in 2011. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church, 926 Garfield, with interment at Sargent Avenue Mennonite Church Cemetery in Springstein.
