Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMIKE HALIGOWSKI The children of Mike Haligowski announce his peaceful passing at home on April 18, 2013 following a very courageous battle with cancer. Life will not be the same; he will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are children Karen (Wes and Travis), Cheryl, Leslie (Landon and Lia), James (Deborah and Allysha), Michael (Jenn, Jessie and Morgan); also surviving is his brother John (Olga) and sister Millie; as well as sisters-in-law, brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his parents Michael and Maria; son Derek; infant granddaughter Breanne; in-laws Frank and Ruby Storie. Dad worked for the Winnipeg Free Press for many years in the Composing Room. In keeping with Dad's wishes there will no formal service. Cremation has taken place. Special thanks to all the Health Care Professionals who cared for Mike. Donations may be made in Mike's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

My heart goes out to the family. Mike was a very kind man, always with a smile and a laugh, and a hand to help. He raised great kids because of his example of how to be so kind. I loved him dearly, he always will have a spot in my heart. He is my child's grandfather, and I always looked up to him. I had to laugh though when I heard no formal service. That's Mike all right.
