SHARON HEINTZ (THURLBECK)
Date of Passing: Apr 19, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHARON HEINTZ (nee THURLBECK) Unexpectedly, with loved ones at her side, it is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce her passing on April 19, 2013 at the age of 72. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Les of 54 years and her four loving children: Jim (Pam), Bill, Joy (Ken), Eva (Ryan) and her seven grandchildren: Rick, Neil, Dale, Cara, Reece, Cayleigh and Dane; her brothers Ted (Rae), Laurie (Shelagh), Rick; her sister Peggy (Wayne) and numerous nieces and nephews as well as two great-grandchildren. Sharon spent her early years in Winnipeg, moving to The Pas as a young woman where she met her husband Les. Her years working at the TD Bank helped prepare them for running a successful family construction business for 47 years. She did her part by doing the bookkeeping, enabling her to stay home to raise their children. She was a remarkable woman, everyone in her life was important to her. Talking to her grandchildren on the phone was one of her favourite things to do; it was truly the highlight of her week. She was an avid reader and gardener and enjoyed countless hours in her flower beds and vegetable garden. She was very talented at knitting, sewing, canning and baking and always enjoyed preparing meals for special occasions she loved to keep busy and always shared her creations with family and friends. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 26 at Hemauer Funeral Home, 122 Lathlin Avenue, The Pas, MB at 1:30 p.m. In recognition of mom's love of flowers, arrangements are appreciated; in lieu of flowers you may consider donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. GOD SAW YOU GETTING TIRED God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, He closed His arms around you And whispered, 'Come to me'. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away. Our hearts were almost broken, You fought so hard to stay. What you suffered, you told us few, You didn't deserve what you went through. Tired and weary, you made no fuss You tried so hard to stay with us. But when we saw you sleeping, So peaceful, free from pain, We could not wish you back, To suffer all that again. So treasure her Lord, in your garden of rest, For here on earth, she was the very best. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 neilbardalinc.com
