  • Well Bergie, Here it is = NOV 1ST, 2013, your 75th birthday and I hope you are celebrating up there in style. We always wanted to get out in early Nov to celebrate our birthdays as you were 15 years older than me, so that means on Nov 12th, 2013, I will be 60 years old. Man, where has time gone eh??? You sure would have had some comments for me turning 60 eh??? Still miss you so very much and each time I look at your picture, I get sad and shed a tear and remember the good times we had and how happier and changed you were once you had retired and met Gaby. She was so good for you and you deserved so much happiness as you were quite the UNIQUE person. So, dear friend, take care and enjoy your Birthday and I am thinking of you always and missing you. • Oh my goodness, I cannot believe that Bill is gone. We had been making plans for a lunch until a couple years ago when things just seemed to get in the way and there was no time as he had not met Randy and I really wanted them to meet and I had only met Gaby once, so wanted to get to know her better. I am so sorry about that now and will remember Bill with love as he was truly a good friend and we had a good time whenever we did things together or went to a few places. RIP Bill and Gaby, guess the lunch will have to wait now eh??? I will miss you and remember you for a lot of laughs. - Posted by: DIANNE SPRY (GOOD FRIEND AND FORMER EMPLOYEE AT C.F.) on: Apr 30, 2013

  • Ginette & Patrick have fond memories of meeting Bill. The first time was when he drove to Ontario to visit Gaby and to meet her many friends. The second time was when Bill came to Ont. to pick up Gaby for a permanent stay with him and to share the remainder of her short life. At that time Bill & Gaby came for supper at our home in the country. We enjoyed each other's company and ended the evening with a camp fire. Pat & Dave have fond memories of spending dinner and an overnight with Bill & Gaby in Winnipeg on their motorcycle trip to the Dempster Highway in 2006. Gaby had a well attended funeral mass on Sat. Apr.27th. in Welland On. Tara & Jennifer organized a lovely tribute to Gaby. They will both be missed by family and friends. We will miss chatting with them both on the phone. Bill, thank you for taking good care of my friend Gaby while she spent the rest of her short life with you in Winnipeg. We will miss you both. Lisa, thank you for calling and letting me know what had transpired on Tues. April. 23rd. We will miss them both. Our condolences to both Bill & Gaby's families.
