Peggy was my first Cousin, very close to my late Sister Betty, they were ten years older than myself. My Sister Thelma was two years younger than them but very close when girls as my Mother and Father had Peggy along with her brother John living with them for quite sometime when young children. As a family during the 1939-1945 we saw a lot of each other when Winnie Pullen was living in a flat at the house of my Grandmother in North London. We travelled by bus from St. Albans weekly which made us much closer, especially Winnie and myself which is a very strong friendship. During these years, things were very hard with Wartime rationing and the bombing of London, family and friends were so important. Much to remember about ones family and loved ones. Joan was particularly kind and understanding. She had more connection with Her Aunt, not just because they were both Professional people as was my sister until she died 25 years ago. Winnie has been wonderful as a sister-in-law, not an enviable relationship as my family could be quite reserved at times. "WHAT WE KEEP IN MEMORY IS OURS UNCHANGED FOREVER" With love always.
