THERESA (TERRY) ROSE LANGEVIN It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Theresa Rose Langevin, at the age of 87 years on April 23, 2013, at Actionmarguerite - Saint Boniface. Theresa was predeceased by her husband Alfred (Fred) Langevin in July 1987, her father Joseph J. Richie in February 1971, her mother Armaline (nee Gagnier) in March 1973, her sister Alice in October 2008, and brother Herman in June 2012. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by her children Doug Ferris (Louise), Joe Ferris (Maria), Cheryl Dram, grandchildren Lisa Ferris, Karen Lysholm (Kevin), Jennifer Ferris (Devon), Benjamin Dram and his daughter Adycen, Bradley Dram, Steven Figueiredo (Lindsay) Joshuah and Madeline, Michelle Neta (Steve) and Mateo as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. Theresa was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario. She moved to Winnipeg with her family in the spring of 1957 and made Winnipeg her home. When her family became more independent she worked in the Deli Department at K-Mart for a short time. Shortly after this her family expanded with the birth of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved and cherished. Mom was a creative person and had a great passion for macramé, crochet, making fleece blankets and other various crafts which resulted in beautiful items for her family and grandchildren. She possessed a happy-go-lucky personality. Terry enjoyed playing cards with family and was willing to stay up late if the game was a good one. She would often meet with the residents in her apartment building to play cards and bingo and also enjoyed bus tours to the States. Terry was an energetic and independent person as she loved to walk to the shops on Portage Avenue or take the bus and spend a day in Polo Park Mall. Terry will be remembered for her great faith in the Lord, her sense of humour and the joy and laughter that she brought at family gatherings. A celebration of Theresa's life will be held on Monday, April 29, at 1:00 p.m. at the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald Street. Everyone will be invited for coffee and a light lunch after the funeral mass. A private burial of the cremated remains will be held at Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. • We are so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was such a pleasant person. Over the years, our own mother (Therese Philippe) spoke fondly of your family and the times spent together. And yes, we still have macrame items about the house that your Terry taught our Terry to make. Fond memories of two lovely ladies. - Posted by: Colette Gibson (nee Philippe) ( friends (on behalf of the Philippe family)) on: Apr 29, 2013
