Don is survived by his brother Ronald (Joan) and niece Lisa of Toronto. He also leaves to mourn his loss, sister-in-law Joyce Kabez, niece and nephews, and his many friends. Donald was in his 79th year and was predeceased by his loving wife Martha, his mother Angela and father Daniel. Don was employed by Weldwood Westply for over 30 years, that was followed by many happy years of retirement. Donald had many friends and people liked being in his presence because of his easy going personality. The family would like to thank Dr. Bracken and the staff in Intensive Care at the St. Boniface Hospital for his care. In keeping with Dan's wishes, cremation has already taken place. Don was a great friend, Wally's since childhood and Vickie's prior to our wedding in 1955 when he served as best man. Visiting Winnipeg was never complete unless it included a luncheon with Don and an exchange of our latest interests. He shall be greatly missed but our memories of him will always remain. I am very sorry to hear of your loss concerning Donald. Please know that you can receive some comfort, knowing that death will done away with at some point. Jehovah “will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces.” (Isa. 25:8) “No resident will say: ‘I am sick.’” (Isa. 33:24) Eventually, the inhabitants of the earth will wake up each morning to perfect health, thrilled with the prospect of another marvelous day. In the future, life on Earth will not be like today’s unsatisfying existence. It will be very different: free from war, crime, poverty, injustice, illness, and death. "And he ( Jehovah ) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". ( Revelation 21:1 & 4 ). - Posted by: Anthony Raider () on: Apr 30, 2013
