EMANUEL RAUSER 1920 - 2013 On May 2, 2013, our beloved father, grandfather (Opa) and great-grandfather went home to be with his Lord and Saviour. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Emilie (nee Pomereinke), his faithful partner for 71 years; his children: Werner (Renate), Brigitte Konrad (Otto); son-in-law Theo Koehle; his grandchildren: Mark (Shawna), James (Tessa), Michael (Gailene), Mona Porcher (Jake), Melanie Wolowich (Ed), Nicole Bawolin (Justin), Adam Konrad (Christena), Sean Konrad (Glenda); great-grandchildren: Matthew, Victoria, Sophia, Jamieson, Emily, Luke, Daniel, Nicholas, Savannah, Makayla, Robyn, Lincoln and Nyla. He was predeceased by his parents, Simon and Wilhelmine; siblings: Rheinhold, Magdalena, Martin, Daniel, Eduardo, Maria and Johannes. He was also predeceased by his daughter Elfriede. Emanuel Rauser was born on October 10, 1920 in Cogealac, Kreis Konstanza, Romania. He married Emilie on December 13, 1941 in Wien, Austria. On June 18, 1956, the family immigrated from Bremer Hafen to Canada on the Arosa Sun. Emanuel was born again and baptized in Winnipeg in 1958. Emanuel's first job in Winnipeg was at the "Dyck Box Factory." He then worked at Versatile Manufacturing, assembling tractors for the next 20 years until his retirement. In 2010, Emanuel was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. His new home became Oakview Personal Care Home for the next two years. The staff knew him for his ready smile, jokes and his singing of "Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime". Emanuel lived a long life and God blessed him richly. We will miss you Dad / Opa. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Klassen Funeral Home, at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Viewing will be held Monday, May 6, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9.
