EMMA DALKE March 18, 1906 - May 9, 2013 After a wonderful life filled with love, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother left this world to be with her loved ones in Heaven. Emma recently celebrated her 107th year. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Elaine (Art), three grandchildren; Gary (Machelle) in Edmonton, Caron (Scott) in Moosomin, SK, David in Winnipeg; three great-grandchildren, Michael, Kyle and Raine (Edmonton). Emma was predeceased by her husband Leonard in 1973 and daughter Bernice in 1984. She leaves many nieces and nephews who she was very close to. Emma lived a long healthy life and was so ready to go home to her eternal kingdom. She was first and foremost a homemaker. Her door was always open to friends. Emma loved to entertain. She did beautiful crocheting and tatting. Emma was a very generous and loving person. She loved her church and was very active in earlier years. Emma spent her last 10 years in Luther Home and we are very thankful for the wonderful care she received. A private family interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery with a memorial service at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington Street on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. If friends wish, donations may be given to Luther Home, 1081 Andrews Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2V 2G9 or Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3G 1Z5. My mother, Albertine, always said Emma was her favourite sister as they always played together growing up. Emma was very loving and sharing, Mama had her handiwork all over her home which I now enjoy. Emma made the journey to Sudbury regularly as Mama's health deteriorated. She was a truly giving person. - Posted by: Dorothy. Merner (Niece ) on: May 31, 2013

We will treasure these in Aunt Emma's memorary! Love, Alice, Norm, and family - Posted by: Alice (Heinsohn) Beddoe (niece) on: May 22, 2013
