BEVERLEY JOYCE PAULLEY (nee DODDS) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend. On Wednesday, May 8, 2013 Bev passed away at the age of 77 years with family by her side. Bev was predeceased by her parents Wilbur and Ada Dodds. Her brave battle with cancer is now over and she will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Dick; her son, Gord (Rose) and two grandsons, Nicholas and Steven; brother Ken (Gail) and nephew Geoff; sister-in-law Doreen Anderson and brother-in-law Ken Paulley. Also left to cherish her memories are many extended family members and friends. Bev was born in Winnipeg, MB. on November 15, 1935. She grew up in Elmwood and went to Glenwood Elementary and Lord Selkirk School where she met Dick in Grade 10. After graduating high school Bev worked for the Manitoba Government Driver's Safety Division and Licensing. She continued to meet regularly with the girls she worked with. Bev enjoyed travelling and visited many wonderful places such as Switzerland, Germany, Barbados, Hawaii and Arizona. She enjoyed spending time in the summer months at the family cottages in Ponemah, Minaki and Falcon Lake. Mom loved and followed all sporting events on television and radio. Her hobbies and activities included sewing, knitting, needlepoint, bowling, playing the piano, swimming and fishing. She enjoyed attending her grandsons sporting and school events. Bev enjoyed spending time with all family and friends at many get-togethers, including the ones at Falcon Lake. The family would like to thank the staff on E6 at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care Bev received as she never wanted to be a bother to them. A "Come and Go" Celebration of Bev's life will be held at Klassen Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 between 10:00 AM. and 12:00 PM.
