Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS MAY HULME On May 10, 2013, just three weeks before her 86th birthday, Gladys May Hulme, our beloved and courageous sister, passed away. She will be sadly missed by her brother, Daniel (Al) Hulme, of Crystal City, Missouri; aunt Cindy Birt and uncle David Birt; nieces Kaleigh and Lauren Birt of Winnipeg; and Alexandra and Spenser Hulme of Missouri. Gladys was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Ellen Hulme; sister Mary Long; brother Fred Hulme of Calgary; and sister-in-law Olive Hulme. Gladys was born on June 2, 1927, and spent her working career with the Canada Bread Company. Highly principled, Gladys lived with dignity and grace. She travelled well and enjoyed visits to Missouri. The family would like to thank the staff of Poseidon Care Centre for much more than the kind and loving care abundantly provided. Beyond family, Gladys' best friends in Winnipeg are Nadia and Grant. She trusted Grant to provide sunglasses, hat and scarf and then willingly set out on wheelchair tours of the Dollorama store off of Taylor Avenue, located around the bend from Poseidon. Gladys would wave to passing big-truck drivers who would respond by lightly touching the air-horn in recognition of a fellow traveler. We all love you Gladys. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Garden Cemetery, Garden of Prayer, located at 4000 Portage Ave. Winnipeg, MB. R3K 1W3.
