Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySID HALL June 2, 1932 - May 22, 2013 The Hall family are sad to announce the passing of Sid on May 22. He was husband to Muriel, Dad to Graeme and Ian, Grandpa to Kate and Tove. Sid was born in Great Lumley, County Durham and grew up there, but was smitten by the travel bug early in life and following his marriage to Muriel travelled to Nigeria in 1956. He was there for seven years and during that time his sons Graeme and Ian were born. The family moved back to England in 1963 and then to Canada in 1970, settling in Winnipeg. He worked for the Province of Manitoba up to his retirement in 1994 and shortly after that Muriel and Sid moved to Paradise Village where they spent many happy times. They moved back to the city 2006, residing in Charleswood. Sid was predeceased by his son Ian in 1997 and is survived by his wife of 56 years, Muriel and his son Graeme (Astrid) and his granddaughters Kate and Tove all of Winnipeg. Sid was never happier than when he was with his family, he will be missed so much. We would like to thank the ICU staff and others at Grace Hospital for their compassion and dedicated care at this difficult time. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
