Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) FISHER In the early hours of Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Boundary Trails Health Centre, John (Jack) Fisher passed away, reunited with his beloved wife Ruby. Left to mourn his passing are his three daughters, Gail Fisher, grandsons Wayne and Jim; Sally Fisher, grandson Ed; and Heather Corbett, son-in-law Rick Corbett, and grandson Chris; one sister Bertha Henry, sisters-in-law Jean Fisher, Eliza Fisher, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. John was predeceased by his wife Ruby, parents Jan and Wyntje, brothers Albert, Peter, Jacob, and Leonard, sisters-in-law Lena Fisher, Jean Fisher, Margery Aitken, and brother-in-law Wes Henry. John immigrated to Canada from Holland with his family, and hit the ground running. His love of cars and mechanical ability lead to a lifelong career in the automotive industry. Upon retiring, John was always building, repairing, or retooling something, a true jack-of-all trades. Many summers were enjoyed working alongside Rick at the cottage, searching out the sunniest spot for lounging on the dock, and riding the jet ski and scooter into his eighties. John was a thoughtful, gentle man, with a sharp wit, and a love of a good laugh. He was dearly loved and will be sorely missed. Cremation has taken place, with private family interment at a later date. If friends desire, donations in John's memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1101-191 Lombard Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 0X1. Doyle's Funeral Home in care of arrangements. www.doylesfuneralchapel.com
