JANINA E. B. VON ZMUDA-TRZEBIATOWSKI (nee SZYMCK) December 4, 1922 - May 16, 2013 Our beloved mother passed away after a 16 year residency at West Park Manor. Mourning her passing are, son Frank and daughter Emily "Milly" Sinosich. She was predeceased by her husband Leon, daughters Szochia and Elizabeth and son-in-law John. Janina was born in Zawiercie, Czestochowa, Polska. She and Leon immigrated to Canada after surviving the war in 1948. After being employed as a seamstress, mother worked tirelessly alongside our father opening a bakery in Transcona and later moving to Winnipeg as proprietors of Sargent Home Bakery for 19 years. Mother was an amazing businesswoman and always devoted to her family. Our parents were proud to be one of the founding members of St. Andrew Bobola Parish. She enjoyed her retirement gardening, sewing, travelling and cooking. Mother's health declined after father's passing in 1986. A beautiful funeral service was officiated at Cropo Funeral Chapel on May 22, 2013 by Rev. Fr. Gerry Ward with interment at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
