I met Auntie Ann and Uncle John in 1992, while searching for my birth mother, Joanne. She was the only one who responded to my letters, and filled in some missing pieces for me. In 1994, my parents, Jim and Lois Whetham were traveling west, and got to meet in person Auntie and Uncle John. I still have the pictures my Mother took. Thank you, Auntie, for the quilt you made my daughter when she was born. And thank you for accepting me as part of your family. Rest in Peace. - Posted by: Karen Whetham (Joe Shegelski's granddaughter) on: Jun 17, 2013

Ann will be missed by all of us. She was such a wonderful partner for Roy's Dad, John. They enjoyed many common interests together and we are grateful she became part of our family. Our children loved 'Baba and Gigi' visits, getting spoiled by all the home baked goodies Baba always had ready for them, and at the end of the visit, we were always sent home with a box of treats (home-made jams, fresh blueberries, wild mushrooms, and of course, Baba's wonderful 'melt in your mouth' perogies! We love you Ann. We love you Baba. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Henrietta & Roy Shegelski and 5 children (Step son and daughter in law & grand-children) on: May 29, 2013
