Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • Although I am sad to have lost my lovely uncle, I know that he never got over losing his beautiful Josie, and now they are together. Two wonderful souls who opened their hearts and homes to everyone...so much so, that everyone felt like family. They definitely made the world a better place. Forever in our hearts, (Niece) Helen, Bill, Steve and Warren xo - Posted by: Helen Trochimchuk (Niece) on: Jun 09, 2013

  • It is with heartfelt sympathy to hear of the passing of Vince, my favorite mechanical mentor of all time. Around 1982 Vince came to my rescue during a Bimmer rally way out in SW Manitoba in his BMWONE while hosting a BBQ back at his home, we got home very, very late and never did he complain. Over the many years that followed we became close with similar interests, hobbies, and his farm, his willingness to always help others. I saw Vince mere days before his passing and we caught up on things in both our lives, always fond memories of Josie, Andy, Woofie, Harvey, and all the "adopted" family that they helped over the years. Rest in Peace my friend. - Posted by: Dick Alsip (Longtime Friend) on: Jun 04, 2013

  • Vince will be Greatly missed I was shocked to hear of his passing .I Met Vince and Joe in the early seventies just after they had come from the U K, I like many others followed him wherever he went he as the Brits would say (he was magic),! There wasn't anything he couldn't fix. we all will miss him dearly. - Posted by: Mike Katsaronas (Friend) on: Jun 04, 2013

  • So sorry to hear of Vince's passing, now back in the arms of Josie once again. Although not close in miles, was often thought about. Fond memories of holiday taking us fishing in his boat when we came over. Angela, Roy and families in the UK. - Posted by: Angela Mott (sister in law) on: Jun 04, 2013

  • So sad to hear of Vince's passing. All my thoughts and Prayers to his Son, Family and Friends. He will be missed - Posted by: Skip King (Friend) on: Jun 03, 2013

  • As many have mentioned, Vince appeared to embody just about all the patience in the universe. He regularly helped his fellow humans with zero concern about that effort being reciprocated, a rare attribute. His sincere interest in people invariably made them feel cared about yet he'd probably not believe how much they in turn cared for him. Those many people, myself among them, will be missing Vince very, very much. - Posted by: Grant May (Friend) on: May 31, 2013

  • Vince and I spent many a night and weekends working on cars and learning about life, friendship, laughter, politics, and his friends. His family Andrew and Josie were the world to him. He always said life is filled with riches, just some riches come in different things for different people. His family was his greatest reward. We talked about the old country, life back then and life in Canada. He was a proud Man, great friend and humble about his magic with cars even more humble with his magic with people. It's Ok ......."Ok Chiefey" - Posted by: Michael Thompson (Long time Friend) on: May 30, 2013

  • Vince will be greatly missed. His no-nonsense approach to life, in my experience with him, was refreshing. He was an old-school mechanic whose knowledge and love for vehicles was second to none, in my opinion. Always willing to help with 'squeezing you in' for an appointment, or over-the-phone technical help, Vince was a true gentleman, with so much patience. You were so much more than a master mechanic, good sir. Your talents will never be replaced, and it was an honor and privilege to have known you for these many years. Bon voyage, my british friend...i'll see you on the other side. - Posted by: Terry W. (friend) on: May 30, 2013

  • Was shocked to learn of Vinnie's passing. Our friendship started in the mid seventies with a TR3A, then a TR6 and then a few BMWs. Always a gentleman and willing to give a helping hand with any "car problem". He will be sadly missed. - Posted by: Ray Knowles (Friend) on: May 29, 2013

  • Was very saddened to hear of Vince's passing. I had just recently spoke with Vince and was looking forward to seeing him. Always an optimist, Vince was an inspiration, always seeing the silver lining. He was a nice man and will be missed. For the rest of us left behind, as Vince would so often say, stay cheerful. - Posted by: Joe Hunter (Friend) on: May 29, 2013
