Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryETHEL WAWSZKO (nee MARTIN) 1924 2013 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on May 30, 2013 at the age of 88 years. Ethel was born July 4, 1924 at Victoria Beach where she lived her early years before moving to Winnipeg. She spent many happy summers at the cottage at Victoria Beach. She leaves to cherish her memory son John (Joan); daughters Pearl (Doug), and Connie (Reg); grandchildren Mindy, Carrie, Morgan and Jared, numerous great-grandchildren; brother Herbert; sister-in-law Lillian; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, with viewing prior to. Pastor W. Alex Cross will be officiating. Reception will follow in the funeral home then interment will take place in the Victoria Beach Cemetery. Her pallbearers will be Allan Tardiff, Wayne Martin, Lee Sanders, Brad Penner, Hank Martin and Ed Shlafman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ethel's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6.
