ROBERT (JIM) GAILIS 1923 - 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert, early in the morning on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Left to cherish Robert's memory is his wife of 63 years, Amy; sons, Stuart, Peter (Leslie); and grandson Eric. He was predeceased by his parents; brother Peter and niece Rasma. After the trauma of the Second World War, Robert arrived in England where he met Amy in 1947. They married in 1949 and in 1954 immigrated to Canada along with their three year old son. One of my earliest memories is of sitting on Jim's knee whilst he was feeding me with pickled red cabbage. I was only about two years old but my love of anything pickled remains to this day as does my love for Jim. One of the nicest guys I have ever known. - Posted by: Valerie Wilson (Neice) on: Jun 13, 2013

Although distant from those in England a special uncle. He was patient, understanding and welcoming. Words utterly fail to measure the loss all the family must feel. - Posted by: Glyn Roberts (Nephew) on: Jun 04, 2013
