• Ed it has always been a privilege to be your friend and neighbor and you will always be missed. Ed always treated everyone with respect and we will always miss your famous laugh that we could hear around the neighborhood. Happy Hour at the cottage came from Ed thinking its a time to relax, have a drink and good conversation for a couple hours on a Saturday afternoon with the neighbors. In the early 90's it started with a few of us at 5 pm when the Ukrainian Hour was on one of the rural AM stations. However weather ruined a few happy hours because it was wet, muddy or mosquitos. In the mid to late 90's Ed had the deck built with wrap around seating to host anyone wandering the neighborhood and soon the "Happy Hour" became what it is today. Although we will try to continue the tradition, it just won't be same. Ed was a pillar to our community, and can't be replaced.
