HELEN ARRIE KAZUK April 1, 1929 June 4, 2013 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mom and grandma on June 4, 2013 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her husband Fred, her siblings Walter, Tony, Matt, Michael, and Vicki. Left to cherish her memory are her children Doug (Sherree), Marlene (Bill), Richard (Keri), Curtis (Connie), Cathy (Ward), her grand-children Valerie, Jennifer; Danielle, Jeffrey; Nikki (Patrick), Brad (Jaimie), Kali; Natalie, David, Ryan; her siblings Anne and Joe and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mom was an avid reader and loved gardening, needlework, painting, cooking and baking. Mom could always be found outside with a cup of coffee enjoying her gardens, or in the evenings playing solitaire and computer games. She also enjoyed travelling, camping and cruising the Caribbean and Alaska. Widowed at 38, with five children to raise, mom persevered in life, getting her driver's license and a job. After working in retail, she became a dedicated employee of Pacific Western Airlines for 15 years, retiring at the age of 55. She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and her canine companions. We will miss her spirit, her kindness and the love she showed to all. "SHE IS ALWAYS THERE FOR US" In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the kidney foundation in her name. The funeral will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue.
