Ray was born at Hamiota on May 17, 1923 and married his wife Margaret (Schweitzer) in 1947. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the Canadian Air Force and served in the 665 Squadron in Europe, flying as an observer in the Auster Mk V. When he returned from the War he became employed by Winnipeg Transit as a bus driver, retiring in 1987 from his position as head timekeeper. Ray was predeceased by his parents, Robert T. Gregory and Bertha M. (Bedford) Gregory, and brother, Mike Gregory. After retirement, Ray enjoyed gardening, hunting for antiques, and babysitting his grandchildren. Besides his wife Margaret, he leaves to mourn, his daughter Linda (Don) Rankmore of Glenboro, MB, son Dwain of Ottawa, ON, and grandchildren Angela (Mason) Hildebrand of Winnipeg, Carolyn Gregory, Cheryl Gregory, and James Gregory of Oakbank, MB. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. Memoriams may be made to a charity of your choice. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.
