Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLARS GUNNAR ALMROTH On June 8, 2013, Gunnar passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre. He was born December 12, 1928 in Sweden, to Gunnar and Margit Almroth and married Gunborg Maria Pettersson, in August 14, 1949. They immigrated to Canada in 1954, taking a job in Winnipeg with Transair which became Pacific Western. He finished his career at Air Canada. Gunnar was a talented wood worker, mechanic, electrician and an avid golfer, taking great pride in his Hole in One'. Left to mourn are his wife Gunborg, his daughters Britt Almroth, Rose (Bruce) Hamilton, son Dennis (Gloria) Almroth, grandsons Christopher (Karen) McCowan, Jason Hamilton, Sheldon Almroth, granddaughter Lisa (Dan) Hamilton, great- granddaughters Savannah, Lily and Raine, sisters Siv Liif and Anki (Hasse) Bjork, brother Classe (Lis-Marie) Almroth and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre, GD-4. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
