AXEL MELQUIST It is with great sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of Axel (Poncho) Melquist on June 4, 2013 at age 62. He was predeceased by his mother Jean and father Axel Sr. He is survived by his sisters Marjorie, Peggy, and Charlene; brothers Rick, Miles, George, Brent, and Rocky. The memorial service will be held Thursday, June 13 at 1:00 p.m. Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. A private family interment to follow. Gone is the face we loved so dear, Silent is the voice we loved to hear; Too far away for sight or speech, But not too far for thought to reach, Sweet to remember him who once was here And who, though absent, is just as dear.

We, Harold and Sarah, met each other while Harold lived with Poncho in his apartment on Redwood Ave. He was always friendly, kind and caring. He soon met his girlfriend who was a friend of the past. It was shocking to have found out he has passed on because we have lost track of Poncho when he moved out of the north end.
