EFFIE SMOKAL 1920 - 2013 Peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 92 years. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 72 years Stephan, two sons, Ron and Gerald, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. The family wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, 5th floor unit 2 for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Effie's memory may be made to The Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
