Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE EDITH ELIZABETH BILAWICH December 22, 1923 June 7, 2013 Irene was born in The Ridge Carlow, Ireland to Arthur and Mabel Smyth. She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1999, her parents, two brothers, and one sister. Aunt Edie as she was affectionately known leaves behind nieces and nephews overseas. She loved all of you dearly. Although Irene immigrated to Canada at a young age she remained loyal to her roots in Ireland. Special thanks to Ron and Carol for their spiritual guidance. Also thanks to loyal friends, Marilee and Pat for filling Irene's days with sunshine. Also thanks to the staff at Kildonan Personal Care Centre. According to Irene's wishes cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. Interment to take place at St. John's Cathedral Cemetery, Columbarium 135 Anderson Ave. If friends so desire donations can be directed to St. John's Cathedral or The Firefighters' Burn Fund as per Irene's request.
