ANNIE EMOND (nee BARON) With wonderful memories and sad hearts, we regret to announce the passing of Annie Emond on June 14, 2013. Annie will be lovingly remembered by her three sons Dennis, Barry and Allan; three daughters-in-law Lucille, Irma and Bernadette; grandchildren Chantel, Kyle, Sheena, Ashley and Avery; numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her youngest brother Mike Baron. Annie took great pride in her Ukrainian heritage and made sure to pass that on to her grandchildren from Ukrainian singing to perogy making. A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, June 18 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Cropo Funeral Chapel. 204-586-8044

Annie will be lovingly remembered by her three sons Dennis, Barry and Allan; three daughters-in-law Lucille, Irma and Bernadette; numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her youngest brother Mike Baron. She was predeceased by her husband Adelard and four other siblings John, Bill, Ken and Nettie. Annie was born on February 11, 1922 to Joseph Baron and Anna Kocharwyska who had immigrated to Canada. Annie grew up in Brooklands and lived her early years there until she married Adelard and moved to St. Boniface. Annie took great pride in her Ukrainian heritage and made sure to pass that on to her grandchildren from Ukrainian singing to perogy making. She especially loved having them over so she could spoil them and take them to bingo, her favourite pastime. Annie touched many lives with her kind and loving heart. She held a special place in Irma's heart. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Tuxedo Villa for their great care and compassion during her stay as well as her music therapist, Cindy Bass. Viewing will be held on Monday, June 17 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 18 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Chapel. A private family interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity to your choice "I can hear sweet music from Heaven.   • Auntie Annie will always be a special person to me and my family. I am forever indebted to her for the bond she shared with my late mother(her sister Nettie). Whether it was around the Brookland's kitchen table, the various family functions or the famed Christmas gatherings, we could always count on Auntie Annie to bring us joy with her laughter and joking ways.
