Gene was a very close friend of mine while he was honorary assistant priest at St Johns Cathedral going back to 1994 when I had confirmation classes with him one on one. We used to go to Maples Nursing Home to do Anglican Communion services. I played the piano and we had a great time singing with the residents. Gene was always gentle, loving, cared deeply about people and always greeted you with a smile and a hug. He will be greatly missed. Gene, you are now with your beloved Margaret again.
