Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHERESE TRUDEL (née LAFANTAISIE) June 28, 1933 - June 15, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thérèse Trudel on June 15, 2013 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Robert (Huguette), Michel, Maurice (Carmen) and her daughters Christine Collette (Dave) and Johanne Choquette (Denys); son-in-law Gérald Roy (Lucille); 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sisters and brothers, as well as her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Jean Trudel (2008), her daughters Georgette (2004), Rachelle (1956), Lyne (1955) and Gisèle (1953), and both her parents Flore (née Dubois) and Emilien (Salim) Lafantaisie. In her early years of marriage, Mom worked at home looking after her children. Once the kids were all in school Mom started working at the St. Malo Sewing Factory. Her passions were first and foremost her family, knitting, cooking, baking and in the last years word search puzzles. Over the years, she always welcomed family and friends with open arms. Mom always had plenty of food and dainties for everyone, whether you were hungry or not. "Tu seras toujours dans nos coeurs" Prayers will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Malo Roman Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. We would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their care and support during her last hours. Special thanks to the Chalet Malouin Staff and the residents of Place Hébert. I will miss u Therese, you were such a special lady, always smiling, and so full of life. Jean was a real sweetheart too and now you two are reunited. I will miss you, but I am so glad I saw you last week when you came to the hotel for coffee with your sister, Denise. Loved your Mom dearly, she was like my St. Malo Mom since I was a little girl and used to visit Memere & Pepere almost every weekend and would always go visit your Mom & Georgie and the whole family. She's been on my mind since I heard of her passing. Nothing but kind and loving thoughts about her. Will miss her terribly when we (MaTante Germaine & me) go visit St. Malo. My sincere condolences to the family. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to talk to her at Tante Germaines' birthday last year.. and yes, I remember that delicious coca cola chocolate cake of hers.
