I was shocked and saddened to hear of Debbie's passing. Although I haven't seen her for several years, she will always be fondly remembered by the Kagan family. Debbie visited our home frequently as she, my sister Rhonda, and Rebecca were inseparable growing up and into their adult years. For a time, she was my sister's roommate on McAdam Ave so I saw her often. She was always so cheerful and polite, always showing concern for everyone around her. She will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Elaine Graham (Kagan) (Sister of friend Rhonda) on: Jun 28, 2013

I was taken aback when I read of Debbie's sudden passing. We have been friends, though not close, since H.C. Avery school right through Garden City. Whenever I ran into her (usually safeway) we would catch up quickly as she was ringing in my groceries and then laugh when we ran out of time. She will be dearly missed and we hope, over time, some difficult moments will be helped with these short messages. We are truly sorry for your loss :( - Posted by: Andrea (Brownstone)Slusky (friend) on: Jun 24, 2013

My sincerest condolences to Dennis, Gail, Mrs. Marrand and family. The Marrands lived a few doors down from us and we always played together. Debbie with my brother Martin and I with Dennis. We always had lots of fun and tons of laughs. Remember all those great memories!! Debbie was always beaming and was quick to say "Hi" to everyone...all the neighbors adored her and how could you not; she was like an angel. Now she is an angel watching over all her family, especially Jesse. Remember she will always be with you guiding you through life! Blessings to all the family... - Posted by: Melody (Sysa) Johnson (Previous Neighbor of the family...many years ago) on: Jun 21, 2013

All of my memories of Debbie include fun, lots of laughing, her playful teasing and her thoughtfulness. She was always the life of the party no matter where we were and people were drawn to her. Len knew Debbie from West K Curling club when he curled there many years ago and enjoyed her bubbly personality and wit. Our condolences go out to Jessie and the rest of her family, no goodbyes just so long, until we meet again. - Posted by: Donna & Len Grieve (Friends) on: Jun 20, 2013

I remember Debbie as outgoing and friendly and she and I met at her work Safeway years later and just gabbed a lot. We both lived near the Safeway and I remember her being very big in Ringette. I remember seeing her drive around with her then to be husband in big ford 4x4 truck. I did not know her well but she was always very friendly and seemed to like her work. She was taken too young but we don't know the Master's reason or plans always. She will be missed and I pray that her family will come around and support the love of her life the young son. Condolences to all involoved. - Posted by: wesley sims (friend of through sister Gina (Sims) Jones ) on: Jun 20, 2013
